Nestled in the quaint town of Long Eaton in the heart of Nottinghamshire, Duresta have been handcrafting and upholstering bespoke sofas, armchairs and footstools since 1938, epitomising true British heritage and quality. The Hermitage Sofa is constructed in a European beech and North American birch frame, glued and screwed by hand and prized with a 25-year frame guarantee, ensuring utmost strength and longevity within different climates. A serpentine sprung suspension system is then applied to the back with a coil sprung seat and sprung edge, providing a springy and robust foundation for Supawrap foam core with fibre wrap seat cushions and duck feather back cushions. Each piece from the Hermitage collection is then finished with a wenge wooden leg, a selection of feather filled scatter cushions - 10 with the Grand Sofa, 7 with the Large Sofa, 8 with the Small Sofa and 2 with the Reading and Swivel Chairs - and is upholstered by hand with your choice of fabric by Duresta's specialist craftspeople, hand-cut and pattern-matched to perfection.
