Regency Cabinets
A pair of Regency style burl oak veneered bedside cabinets by Jonathan Charles, with a pierced patinated brass rail, single drawer and cupboard, and raised under-tier. Including tapering fluted legs and fine mother of pearl inlay throughout. Truly wonderful furniture, they would suit an impressive guest bedroom in an intricate, traditional interior.
Exquisite Materials
Burl oak occurs due to branches and other off-shoots to the main trunk of the tree. The finished look for furniture is an intricate individual pattern, where every piece of wood is different. Mother of Pearl is a composite material produced by molluscs as an inner shell layer which makes up the outer coating of pearls. It is strong, resilient, iridescent and utterly beautiful. The mother of pearl inlays on these bedside cabinets provide the finishing touch to a truly opulent piece of furniture and a true work of art. The cabinet is also entirely hand crafted, ensuring its uniqueness and individuality.
Duchess Collection
The Jonathan Charles Duchess collection is inspired by 19th century Italian decorative furniture. The pieces contain heavily distressed finishes and contrasting rasied veneer detail. It is a beautiful collection, defined largely by hand inlaid mother-of-pearl detailing.
