Pavilion Broadway is a family-run, designer furniture retailer on the edge of the Cotswolds in Ashchurch, Tewkesbury. We specialise in complete interior solutions for your home, offering a wide selection of furniture, designer lighting and home décor, as well as an expert interior design service.

At Pavilion Broadway we are looking for an exceptionally talented individual to join our ecommerce team to maintain and develop our impressive digital catalogue of designer furniture and accessories. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced copywriter to join our expanding business. The role offers flexible working either remote, at our Tewkesbury premises or both.

The Role

You will be working within a small team, reporting to the Ecommerce Marketing Manager and be responsible for ensuring copy is written in our brand tone of voice, SEO best practices are followed and products are merchandised to a high standard. This is a multi-faceted role with a varied workload including:

- Write engaging copy for our website & marketing channels including product descriptions, blog posts, social media copy and background information on brands, collections and categories.

- Preparing & adding new products to our website including descriptions, specifications, imagery and upsells via spreadsheet and Magento.

- Updating existing products, brands & categories when required, including changing specifications, updating product images, price updates and any other relevant information via spreadsheet and Magento.

- Implement SEO best practices including content optimisation.

- Proof-reading online content before publishing.

The Person

You will need to be a natural with words and have excellent vocabulary as well as a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. You must have the ability to create credible, accurate and compelling copy, sometimes from limited information. Strong writing & editorial skills are essential with a publication or Journalism background desired.

This role requires you to be proactive, have excellent time management and a self-driven attitude. With a varied workload you must be highly organized, good at problem-solving and take initiative.

- Educated to degree level preferably with relevance to Journalism or English.

- Good understanding of SEO best practices.

- Interest in the interior design industry and Pavilion Broadway’s products and brand.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - able to communicate at all levels.

- Have a creative mind with the ability to project manage.

- Be used to working in a fast-paced environment and managing a diverse workload.

- Knowledge of how to work with both Mac & Microsoft Office programs.

- Experience using Wordpress, Photoshop and Magento is preferable.
