Details
A rare pair of early 19th century Argand Lamps fully restored to working order. Circa 1820. Each impressed "Messenger" to a cast iron weight within the base.
The square bronze bases support ormolu cariatyd figures in the classical taste which hold aloft the oil reservoirs. The glass shades are hand made copies which is to be expected for such vulnerable pieces.
50h x 23w x 16d cms
Height to top of shade 54cm.
