Minature Racing Car

Due to its sleek and shiny appearance, and its ability to reach unimaginable speeds, the Indianopolis became one of the most famous Grand Prix racers of all time. Authentic Models' replica has been moulded with the same exacting detail of the original, this time including specialised red seats. The founder of the B.B. Korn Manufacturing Company, Barney Korn, produced several tether car models that now, as retro antiques, achieve astounding sums at auction. For the children of his clients Mr. Korn designed and built 'The Indianapolis', a non-powered pre-war giveaway. It was designed to enthuse children and get them to participate in motoring activities.

Detailed Construction

This replica model has been hand cast in airplane aluminium, and has been hand buffed and polished to a high shine. It features a detailed dashboard, steering wheel and brake, a faux leather seat and rubber tires. The wheel hubs ad rubber tires in particular are made with the exact detail of the original. A beautiful model that ships in a special gift box - it makes for the ideal present for a budding car enthusiast, and is a welcome addition to a vintage car collection. Alternatively, it could be used as a fascinating desk accessory in a sophisticated office or study.

The 1930s saw the rise in popularity of model racecars, known as spindizzies. Hobbyists built minature racecars and raced them around tracks.
