DC3 Model
Dubbed ‘Workhorse of the Skies’, the Dakota DC3 was the world’s first successful commercial airliner. This model has been made with close attention to detail, using the original blueprints for reference and features propellors, wheels, passenger windows and cockpit. It is made from flat metal sheet on a lightweight frame with an aluminium stand with plaque for display.
Realistic Details
First flown in 1935, the Dakota DC3 – also called the Douglas DC3 – was adapted to military use during WWII, used to transport soldiers, wounded troops and cargo. It was reputably easy to fly, cruising comfortably at 10,000 feet and easy to manoeuvre when landing and taking off. This model captures the spirit of this legendary plane in stunning detail, becoming a feature of your home.
