A brand in itself, TA Studio is an extension of Theodore Alexander, but with a more contemporary approach to design. Instead of beautiful, intricately complex and richly detailed furniture, these pieces have a cleaner, more understated look based on minimalistic forms. The brand celebrates the art of simplicity, proving that less really is more.

A Balance of Style & Finish
The attention to detail is not lost, however. TA Studio furniture offers up a range of beautiful collections, each with their own unique blend of finishes – leather wrapped drawers with embossed shagreen detailing, closely cut hand-upholstery, rich shades of natural veneers with a deep and alluring woodgrain – elevating each furniture piece and creating a relaxed appearance more suited to the styles and demands of modern day living. The collections work elegantly when styled as one. However they also work just as seamlessly together, balanced lines and supple finishes underlining every collection of the brand.
Casual Contemporary Design
TA Studio is Theodore Alexander reimagined. You might know Theodore Alexander as one of the world’s most popular fine furniture brands. Offering pieces for both classic and modern homes, Theodore Alexander is renowned for their artisan details and master craftsmanship. In 2019 – with more than 20 years of industry experience under their belt – Theodore Alexander took their business to a new level and established TA Studio.
TA Studio No.1
To introduce us to the brand, TA Studio began with four key collections. The first of these collections is still one of their most popular with customers and interior designers. It sees TA Studio break away from Theodore Alexander as we know it, establishing itself as its own brand with a fresh, contemporary look.
TA Studio No.1 sees simplistic square and rectangular frames bring a modern flair to furniture, decorated with two richly pigmented veneers. Neutral leather wrapped cabinetry brings a softness to the collection, while metal hardware - crafted by hand in Theodore Alexander's own foundry - ties the wood and the leather together.
TA Studio No.2
Taking the same relaxed approach of its predecessor, TA Studio No.2 refreshes the look with two more dramatic finishes.
Dark veneer is placed alongside mottled shagreen leather with touches of brushed brass to break up the rich colour palette. Alternatively, this collection also offers a refreshing contrast with designs in a lighter wood finish, cream leather wrapped cabinetry and brushed nickel hardware to complement a neutral or rustic scheme.
TA Studio Raia
Bringing together popular shagreen elements of existing collections, TA Studio Raia draws attention to the captivating character of the brand's iconic leather surfaces.
Where leather has only been part of the design in other collections, Raia sees cabinetry, tables and bed frames inlaid with light and dark tones of leather from head to toe. This supple material is embossed with a subtle shagreen texture, resembling the look and feel of exotic reptile skin.
The lighter shade can be used to add a light and airy feel to contemporary interiors or brighten a darker, more dramatic scheme. Meanwhile, the darker greyish shade has the reverse effect: imbuing neutral contemporary spaces with a contrasting dark hue.
