Firstly, we’d like to say a huge thank you for your ongoing support. This year has been a difficult time for everyone including independent, family-run businesses like Pavilion Broadway.
It goes without saying that 2020 certainly wasn’t the year we’d all expected. But as the end of the year beckons and we begin to look towards 2021, we’re moving forward with hope and optimism on the horizon. This year has really kept us on our toes and challenged us to be there for you, our customers, more than ever. Our team has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure visitors can safely visit our showroom, deliver items to homes across the country in line with Covid-19 regulations and introduce new services to adapt to changing trading restrictions.
LOTS OF PRODUCT IN STOCK
We have invested heavily in stock this year. This has meant that we have been able to fulfil many orders fast – even when stock was short nationally! Many of us were inspired to redecorate while at home during the lockdown earlier in the year and took advantage of our plentiful stock of Farrow and Ball paint. Plus, with lots of us working from home, furniture to stylise your workspace and create a productive home environment was in high demand. The Gladiator Chair, Hudson and Mustang Chairs by Carlton Furniture have been particularly popular.
We’ve introduced new ranges from our brands including Carlton Furniture’s Aviator Collection, the Calesta Collection from Richmond Interiors and ALF Italia’s Novecento range. We’ve also added new products to our affordable Pavilion Chic range and best-selling pieces from Eichholtz, as well as stylish dining sets and beautiful outdoor furniture!
It wouldn’t seem right to put together this newsletter if we didn’t address some of the issues we have faced this year. Although the pandemic still brings significant challenges to some of our manufacturer’s material supply chains, causing logistical delays, we can reassure you that our team continues to ease disruption to our customers. The increase in demand over the festive period has made this particularly difficult, with a small number of orders being delayed until January. We apologise if you have been affected by this and greatly appreciate your patience and understanding.
BUSINESS AS USUAL
Whilst the showroom was closed to the public, our customer service team were available 7 days a week as usual throughout both national lockdowns. Our sales team worked hard to make sure that you were still able to place orders online and over the phone, while our warehouse team ensured that deliveries were made safely to customers across the country. CLICK & COLLECT
Like many businesses this year, we have adapted to the ever-changing circumstances. We were delighted to introduce our brand new Click and Collect service! This smooth system ensures that you can receive your orders hassle free and without having to shop in store if you do not wish. Find out more here.
If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that our environmental ethos is more important than ever! We’ve made fantastic changes to our shipping and packaging processes over the past few years. We recycle 3 tons of cardboard a week, while all of our clear plastic is recycled. Our state of the art, in-house machines crush down all polystyrene so that it can made into recycled plastics, while each of our supplier’s green footprint is an important part of our selection process. Throughout 2021 and the future, we will continue to adapt our processes to greener ways of thinking, striving to make our methods as eco-friendly as possible.
WHAT’S IN STORE FOR 2021?
There’s certainly many reasons for Pavilion Broadway to be optimistic going into 2021. Manufacturing challenges are beginning to ease and we have invested heavily in an improved logistics system this year to provide more accurate delivery time slots. We couldn't end this year's newsletter without mentioning some lovely news from the Pavilion Broadway team. We're delighted to announce that Nicole, our in-house interior designer, welcomed a baby boy in August!
