With a background in illustration and painting, Carola wanted to combine her art with textiles to create pictures, but not by simply painting on textiles. Carola is passionate about colour clashes, mismatches and always keeping a sense of contrast when it comes to textures and layers. She wanted to produce soft furnishings that were quirky, intricate, and above all with a sense of humour. So the unique process of drawing with scissors began and these hand-cut pieces are mixed like a painter uses their palette.
