WWI Fighter Plane
The legendary Transparent Spad was a French biplane fighter aircraft of World War One. Developed by Societe Pour Laciation et ses Derives (SPAD), its speed and manoeuvrability made it one of the most capable fighter planes of WWI. With 8,472 made and orders of around 10,000 cancelled at the Armistice in 1918, it played an important role in the British-French-American victory.
This Authentic Models Transparent Spad model would look fantastic in a corporate office or even at home as a piece of decor. There are simply not many things you can hang as décor that are as striking as this beautifully-made model. Showing a web-like construction, a plane as wonderfully detailed as this is few and far between and hard to find. This Transparent Spad will fly out the door into any aviation-enthusiasts' door.
Attention to Detail
Handmade with meticulous attention to detail, the Spad XIII has been made with a lightweight frame assembled and silk fabric stretched across, similar to the original construction from the early 1900s. It has laminated wood propellers, spoke wheels with rubber tires and metal hardware including landing gear. There is everything to intrigue anyone with any interest in aviation here.
