WWI Fighter Plane
The legendary Spad XIII was a French biplane fighter aircraft of World War One. Developed by Societe Pour Laciation et ses Derives (SPAD), its speed and manoeuvrability made it one of the most capable fighter planes of WWI. With 8,472 made and orders of around 10,000 cancelled at the Armistice in 1918, it played an important role in the British-French-American victory.
This Authentic Models Spad XIII model plane has been decked out in US army squadron camouflage. It would look fantastic in a corporate office or even at home as a piece of decor. Replica model planes make a great focal point and add to the atmosphere and interest of the room's decor.
Attention to Detail
Handmade with fantastic attention to detail, the Spad XIII has been made with a lightweight frame assembled and silk fabric stretched across, similar to the original construction used in the early 1900s. It has laminated wood propellers, spoke wheels with rubber tires and metal hardware including landing gear. There is everything here to intrigue anyone with an interest in aviation.
